Intradistrict Transfers

Intradistrict transfers are for students who reside inside the MDUSD boundaries requesting to transfer to another MDUSD school.

Only one transfer application will be processed per student per academic year.The Intradistrict Transfer Applications for all schools, grades 1-12 and for Sequoia and Monte Gardens' Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year are available October 10 - November 10, 2024.

Currently enrolled students will complete the application using their Aeries Homelink Portal. Students that are not currently enrolled will use the link below.

The Intradistrict Transfer Application window for Kindergarteners (except Sequoia and Monte Gardens) will continue to take place in the Spring (February - March).

For more information on how the update will affect your child please select the appropriate grade level in the table below.

Intradistrict Transfer Applications
  1. My student is currently enrolled: please log into your Aeries Homelink Parent Portal and click on the pop up to complete the application OR select School of Choice Request under Student Info.
  2. My student is NOT currently Enrolled: please use the link below to set up your Aeries Homelink Parent Portal to access the application as stated above.
    1. Enter your email and set your password, Aeries will send you a confirmation email.
    2. Once the email is received click on the "Confirm This Email Address" and log in using your email and password.
    3. Enter your student's information and then the contact information of at least one parent/guardian. 
    4. Once Step 3 is completed and you click "Save," you will see your child's Demographics page. Do not worry about the empty fields, including what is listed as their Next Grade, but do ensure the address and current grade fields are correct.
    5. Complete the School of Choice Request to submit your Intradistrict Transfer Application.
    6. 2025-2026 Intradistrict Transfer Application for students that are NOT currently enrolled

Tips to successfully submit your application:

  1. If your student is currently enrolled you should have access to your Aeries Homelink Parent Portal, but if you still need to set it up, please contact your school's office for the verification code.

  2. Android users may encounter difficulties completing the application on their phone. You can either download the newest app from the Google Play store or use a computer to sign in and complete the application. Your student's MDUSD issued Chromebook will work for this purpose!

  3. Only Aeries Homelink Parent Portals will have access to the application.

  4. Requesting Two Way Dual Immersion or Bilingual programs at Bancroft, Cambridge, Meadow Homes, or Ygnacio Valley? Please select Program as the reason, you will be able enter sibling information in a separate question and we will update your priority level accordingly.

  5. Program priority requests are only accepted for the Two Way Dual Immersion, Bilingual and International Baccalaureate programs available at: Bancroft ES (TWDI), Cambridge ES (BL), Holbrook Language Academy (TWDI), Meadow Homes ES (BL), Oak Grove MS(IB), Shore Acres ES (TWDI), Ygnacio Valley ES (TWDI), and Ygnacio Valley HS (IB). Any other schools selected with a Program reason will be updated to reflect the appropriate priority level as listed in the Enrollment Priority Table below.

  6. Sibling at the requested school? Please include the siblings full name and ID (if available) in the requested field.

  7. Most importantly, submit your application prior to 11:59pm on November 10, 2024. Applications received during the Oct 10 - Nov 10 window have an equal chance of being approved. We cannot accept applications once the window closes.
