A Message from the Principal
At this time of year, I am filled with appreciation and feel very fortunate to be Principal here at Sequoia Middle School.
Sequoia Students: I am thankful for your hard work in our classrooms, your positive attitudes and the community you are building.
Sequoia Staff: I am thankful for your hard work and dedication to our students, being life-long learners and the support you extend to each other.
Sequoia Families: I am thankful for the encouragement and support you give to your children and your trust you have in our staff.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Sequoia Middle’s annual Turkey Trot was once again a huge success as the athletes make their way around the campus course. Coming in 1st place for the 8th grade were Kylie T. and Cooper D. Fastest runners for the 7th grade were Jessica V. and Matt G. The 6th grade winners were Isabella M. and Oliver K. Not to be outdone, our fastest teachers were Ms. Deatsch and Mr. Gregory. A big CONGRATULATIONS to our winners and all of our participants.

All School Reading Challenge
Is your student up for the CHALLENGE? In November, the school is launching an all-school Reading Challenge. Regular reading as a child encourages a life-long reading habit. Between now and April 30, your child can submit an entry form (available in the library) for every book that he or she reads. There will be individual prizes for the top reader for the entire school, and for the top reader for each grade. Each grade’s progress will be charted on the thermometer in the display case outside the library. The grade that reads the most will win an extra Spring social event put on by Leadership!
