2015 CAASPP Testing
This April and May, all Sequoia students will participating in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CASSPP Testing) in both English-Language Arts and Mathematics. All 7th grade students in English Language Arts will begin testing on Monday, April 27th. (Complete testing schedule is attached below). Testing will be administered in English and Math classes and our regular bell schedule will be in effect.
Student attendance is critical during testing as all students must be accounted for. If you have any questions regarding testing procedures please contact Mr. Carman, at firstname.lastname@example.org or Mr. Honey at email@example.com
All School Reading Challenge
Is your student up for the CHALLENGE? In November, the school is launching an all-school Reading Challenge. Regular reading as a child encourages a life-long reading habit. Between now and April 30, your child can submit an entry form (available in the library) for every book that he or she reads. There will be individual prizes for the top reader for the entire school, and for the top reader for each grade. Each grade’s progress will be charted on the thermometer in the display case outside the library. The grade that reads the most will win an extra Spring social event put on by Leadership!
